This is a self-published book I did after covering and completing the pilgrimage to Mecca in January 2004.
It was one of the most fascinating and difficult adventures (in terms of the physicality of completing the rituals as well as actually covering it as a photojournalist) that I have had the privilege of participating in.
There was also quite a bit of interest in the local media regarding my story and I was interviewed and featured on radio, television and in the newspaper. In the end, I lost my voice and was a bit of an embarrassment when I was introduced to a prince from the royal family who congratulated me after completing the Hajj.
